Divided out of and addition to 506,958, under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts Nov. 15, 1938. [Classes 108 (ii) and 108 (iii)] In suspensions of. the type described in the parent Specification, wherein a wheel is supported from the frame by a link mounted to swing longitudinally of the vehicle under the action of a rubber body in shear rigidly secured to two parallel supporting plates, one plate 3 is pivoted to the frame end of the link and the other plate 4 is pivoted to the frame within a hollow frame member 9 which substantially encloses the rubber body 2, the plates being capable of joint pivotal movement. As shown; the link is in the form of a bell-crank lever 5, 6 pivoted to a bracket 7 secured to the member 9, the plate 3 being pivoted to the short arm 6 of the lever.
