摘要 This invention provides the following: an optical film that has a flat reflectance spectrum in the visible-light region and accentuates blacks when affixed to a display, improving image contrast; and a method for fabricating said optical film. In this optical film, which has a randomly textured surface obtained by using a UV-curable resin to transfer a texture from the surface of a mold to a base film, a low-refractive-index layer comprising a low-refractive-index resin having a refractive index (n2) that is lower than the refractive index (n1) of the UV-curable resin is formed in a wet state so as to smooth out the texture on the randomly textured surface and a solvent portion is then dried. The thickness of said low-refractive-index layer is random within a given range, namely the range within which said thickness satisfies the equation n2×film thickness (d) = λ/4, with n2 representing the refractive index of the low-refractive-index resin, d representing the thickness of the low-refractive-index layer, and λ representing a wavelength in the 360-780 nm visible-light region.
