PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of cases in which good pixels are erroneously detected as defective, without impairing the detection accuracy of defective pixels.SOLUTION: In an image processing device, images read out from an image sensor (2) are processed. The image processing device comprises: an absolute value of difference calculation unit (43) which calculates an absolute value of difference between the pixel value of a detection object pixel which is to be detected for defect among pixels constituting an image read out from the image sensor and a plurality of peripheral pixels of the detection object pixel; and a defective pixel determination unit (44) which determines that the detection object pixel is a defective pixel on the basis of the absolute value of difference. For conditions necessary to determine that the detection object pixel is a defective pixel, including that the absolute value of difference is within a range predetermined by a first threshold value and a second threshold value which is larger than the first threshold value, the defective pixel determination unit sets a smaller value as the second threshold value than when no pixel value is not added when the pixel value of a plurality of pixels is added before reading pixels out of the image sensor. |
