PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor which exhibits low humidity dependence of sensitivity, prevents a band-shaped image defect, has excellent memory tolerance with respect to white light, and forms a halftone image while preventing density unevenness due to the optical memory, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the organic photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An organic photoreceptor is provided for forming an image by electrophotography. A charge generating layer includes a charge generating material formed of 2,3-butanediol-added titanyl phthalocyanine and unadded titanyl phthalocyanine. The charge generating layer includes a light shielding material in which a ratio (R700/R780) between reflectance (R700) in a wavelength 700nm and reflectance (R780) in a wavelength 780nm of a reflection spectrum is 0.8-1.3, and having maximum absorption λin a wavelength region of 370-500nm in a layer located closer to a surface side than the charge generating layer. |
