PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain positional relation with a display image, and to generate waveform data without losing level information of the waveform data.SOLUTION: In an image processing device for generating waveform data for displaying in waveform a level of a luminance signal of an image signal, a waveform generation part generates waveform data from an input image signal, and a resolution conversion part filters the input image signal by a band-limiting filter to reduce resolution. In displaying the display image with lower resolution and the waveform data, the waveform data is generated by changing the number of samplings of the image signal corresponding to one sampling of the waveform data in accordance with a ratio between the resolution of the image signal and display resolution, to display the waveform having a positional relation with the display image, while holding the level information of the waveform data. |
