摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which executes an autofocus operation at a high speed and with excellent accuracy.SOLUTION: First focal distances are sequentially determined with a first interval greater than a threshold value formed in a focus range. Then, as to each of the first focal distances, a focus evaluation is executed for a reconstructed image which is generated from an image signal obtained through imaging by driving a focus lens to a corresponding position, and focuses on a subject of the first focal distance. Further, the imaging device selects one image signal on the basis of a result of the focus evaluation. Next, in the focus range, second focal distances are sequentially determined with a second interval smaller than a threshold value formed in a focus range. Then, as to each of the second focal distances, a focus evaluation is performed for a reconstruction image which is generated from the selected one image signal and focuses on a subject of the second focal distance.
