€¢ an extraction bin (5) with index k ˆˆ [1,..., n ] and frequency É k ‰ É A is chosen from the spectral representation (2), and the magnitude M k of this extraction bin (5) is determined;
€¢ an allocation factor (6) is determined, said allocation factor (6) indicating a portion M ks of a sinusoidal signal (7) with frequency É A and unity magnitude that is allocated to the extraction bin (5) when the transform (4) is applied to said sinusoidal signal (7) to generate a spectral representation (8) out of said sinusoidal signal (7);
