METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAINTAINING MBMS MDT CONFIGURATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method and apparatus for maintaining a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) minimization of drive test (MDT) configuration in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a first MBMS-MDT configuration via first system information, and receives second system information. The second system information may or may not include a second MBMS-MDT configuration. If the second system information does not include the second MBMS-MDT configuration or the second system information includes the second MBMS-MDT configuration which is equivalent to the first MBMS-MDT configuration. the UE maintains the first MBMS-MDT configuration.

1. A method for maintaining, by a user equipment (UE), a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) minimization of drive test (MDT) configuration in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, by the UE, a first MBMS-MDT configuration via first system information; receiving, by the UE, second system information; and maintaining, by the UE, the first MBMS-MDT configuration, if the second system information does not include a second MBMS-MDT configuration or the second system information includes the second MBMS-MDT configuration which is equivalent to the first MBMS-MDT configuration.
