Disclosed are a method and system for switching an LTE network based on an eHRPD network. The method comprises: a mobile terminal in an eHRPD network searching an LTE network according to a first time interval; judging whether the LTE network is found, and obtaining a first judgement result; when the first judgement result indicates that no LTE network is found, acquiring network state information about the eHRPD network; determining a second time interval based on the network state information and the first time interval, wherein the second time interval is greater than the first time interval; and searching the LTE network according to the second time interval. By means of the method or system of the present invention, a time interval for searching a network signal can be adjusted, and total power consumption consumed in searching the network signal can be reduced, thereby prolonging the standby time of the mobile terminal. |
