摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring and quantifying benzotriazoles on a surface of a metal plate or the like in a simple manner with high sensitivity.SOLUTION: The method of quantifying benzotriazoles on a metal surface is provided that comprises; a pre-treatment step of immersing a metal member having benzotriazoles on a surface thereof in a mixed solution of an acidic aqueous solution and a water-soluble organic solvent; and an analysis step of introducing components extracted into the mixed solution to a high-speed liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer to isolate the benzotriazoles and to perform mass analysis. The benzotriazoles BTAs are almost completely extracted from the metal surface by the acidic aqueous solution and the water-soluble organic solvent, and the extract liquid thus obtained is measured using the liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer means, so that the benzotriazoles on the surface of the metal member can be quantified easily with high sensitivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
