SOLUTION: When a balloon catheter 6 is inserted into a blood vessel, control means 4 preheats the perfusate within the balloon 7 for a predetermined time Δt in a preheating determination step S1. If the temperature rise in the predetermined time goes outside a predetermined range ΔT, the control means determines that an abnormality is present in the balloon 7 and then stops the blood treatment. On the other hand, if the temperature rises within the predetermined range ΔT in the predetermined time Δt, the control means 4 determines that no abnormalities are present in the balloon 7, and then increases the output of laser light in a heating step S2 to heat the perfusate within the balloon catheter 6 to a predetermined target temperature thereby to conduct blood vessel treatment.EFFECT: Because the presence of abnormalities in the balloon 7 can be determined at the start of blood vessel treatment, a safe blood vessel treatment device can be provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
