The device (S) has video unit (K1,K2) connected to a control unit (ST) via a communication network. The video unit records image of defined monitoring space of the axis-monitoring device. The video unit evaluates the presence of an object (O) in monitoring space. The video unit communicates data to the control unit, when the presence of object in monitoring space is detected. The control unit checks authorization of the object in monitoring space and determines either direction of movement or location of object within monitoring space, based on communicated data. An independent claim is included for method for detecting object in monitoring space. |
