PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fail-safe joining method that achieves simultaneous start reaction force between an adhesive and hardware and secures safety of the hardware even if adhesion by the adhesive is broken owing to movement of a material.SOLUTION: A building material joining method of joining a woody building material 15 includes the processes of: temporarily fitting building materials 15a, 15b to be joined in a joined state; forming a bore 13 which is continuous in the temporarily fit building materials 15a, 15b, and penetrates one building material 15a and does not penetrate the other building material 15b; filling the bore 13 with an adhesive 14; inserting a medium material 11, such as a metal bolt, connecting the woody material, into the bore 13 filled with the adhesive 14; making the filling adhesive 14 permeate the woody building material; and curing the filling adhesive 14 including the inserted medium material. |
