PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of excellently imaging a moving image.SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises: an imaging element 22 that has an imaging pixel and a focus detection pixel, photographs an image by an optical system and outputs a signal corresponding to the photographed image; a phase difference detection part 21 that detects a displacement amount of an image surface by the optical system using a phase difference; a contrast detection part 21 that detects a focus state of the optical system by calculating an evaluation value as to a contrast of an image by the optical system; a focus adjustment part 322 that performs a focus adjustment of the optical system by driving a focus adjustment optical system 32; a calculation part 21 that calculates a change degree of a subject image in a photographing image when a focus adjustment optical system 32 is driven as an image change rate; and a controller 21 that causes the focus adjustment part 322 to perform the focus adjustment of the optical system. The controller 21 determines which of focus detection results of the phase difference detection part 21 and the contrast detection part 21 is used for the focus adjustment part 322 to perform the focus adjustment on the basis of the image change rate. |
