Floor care device (1), in particular a domestic vacuum cleaner, comprising a base body (12) comprising at least one chamber (32) for at least one removable, mobile or detachable functional element (31) such as a dust separation unit, filter device and/or accessory part; with at least one housing part (3) that seals off at least one chamber (32) in the base body (12) at least partially, wherein the housing part (3) is disposed hinged at the base body (12); an opening means (2) that releases the at least one housing part (3) from a closed position (4); and at least one power-producing element (10) that moves the housing part (3) from a closed position (4) to an open position (6) along an opening path (8). The power-producing element(s) (10) is/are disposed outside of a hinge (9). This makes installation of the housing part (3) to the base body (12) of the vacuum cleaner (1) easier using simply-designed and cost effective means, and enables different opening motions (6, 7, 8), as well as prevents unnecessary noise development and dust emissions when opening or closing is performed. Also, erroneous operation and damages are avoided. |
