Magnetic field sensor and method for determining the offset voltage of a magnetic field sensor

The sensor (10) has a vertical Hall sensor unit (20) comprising terminal contacts (22-30) that are connected in series with each other. The terminal contacts are interconnected with a control unit (ST). A switch (S1) provided with a control input is arranged between two of the five terminal contacts to connect the terminal contacts with each other or to disconnect the terminal contacts from each other. The control unit is connected to the control input, and determines offset voltage of the sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method for analyzing offset voltage of a magnetic field sensor.
