PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration element which makes larger a frequency variable range of a control type vibration device in a high frequency (especially in 200 MHz or more) and has a small capacitance ratio γ to improve a manufacturing yield of a vibrator.SOLUTION: A vibration element 1 includes a substrate 10 which vibrates in thickness slip vibration, a first excitation electrode 25a disposed on one main surface of the substrate and having a rectangle shape whose four corners are cut off, and a second excitation electrode 25b disposed on the other main surface of the substrate. A ratio (S2/S1) of an area S1 of the rectangle shape and an area S2 of the second excitation electrode satisfies 87.7%≤(S2/S1)<95.0%. |
