PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate material with which a C/C composite material having predetermined density can be produced with a simple production process without producing a crack inside the raw material in the production process, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: An intermediate material for a carbon/carbon composite is constituted of a continuous carbon fiber tow, petroleum and/or coal-based binder pitch powder with a softening property, petroleum and/or coal-based coke powder without any softening property, and a binder. The intermediate material for the carbon/carbon composite is configured in such a way that: the continuous carbon fiber tow is drawn out in parallel to one direction and is planarly spreading, and consequently is arranged like a sheet or like a tape; the binder pitch powder, the coke powder, and the binder form a mixture; and the mixture is arranged on the outer circumference of the carbon fiber. |
