PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method in which there are not a problem of apparatus corrosion and necessity of waste matter detoxication, and that can produce α-position substituted acrylic acid esters from a raw material having a further inexpensive price by high yield.SOLUTION: Provided is a method that produces α-position substituted acrylic acid esters that is obtained by reacting a compound having a specific structure and a hydroxy group inclusion compound, and the production method is the production method of the α-position substituted acrylic acid esters that includes: a first process in which acrylic acid esters and aldehydes are reacted by 1.1:1-10:1 of a molar ratio to obtain a reaction liquid including the compound having the specific structure; and a second process in which the reaction liquid obtained by the first process is made to react with the hydroxy group inclusion compound. |
