PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device for plane illumination capable of uniformalizing light intensity distribution throughout the entire surface and simultaneously illuminating a surrounding area by leaking light.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 1 for plane illumination comprises: a light guide box 2 having a bottom wall 2A and side walls 2B surrounding the bottom wall 2A; a light transmission plate 4 covering an opening 2b facing the bottom wall 2A; an LED light source 3 disposed on the bottom wall 2A of the light guide box 2. An opening part 2a (or a light transmission wall) is disposed at a part of one of the side walls 2B of the light guide box 2. The inner surfaces of the other side walls 2B and the bottom wall 2A are reflective surfaces. A radial light-shielding body 6 is disposed right above the LED light source 3 in the light guide box 2. |
