[Class 64 (iii)] In a milk cooler or other heat - exchanger comprising two vertical horizontally corrugated plates A with a space between for water or other cooling fluid and having wedge pieces placed in the ends of the inner corrugations with surfaces slanting out from the plates, each wedge piece C is of sheet metal with two side flanges c<1> fitting and soldered against the inner .surface of a corrugation. A flange c<2> at the larger end of the wedge piece abuts on a plate B, to which the ends of the plates A are soldered. The upper ends c<3> of the side flanges are cut away, and the base of the corrugations is also cut away at a to allow fluid to reach the inner surface of the wedge piece. |
