PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress print omission regarding a printer, a control method thereof, and a control program.SOLUTION: During the stop of printing, when a difference between the printing dot number a of a line L1 at the time of stopping printing and the printing dot number b of a line L2 (line next to line L1) at the time of resuming the printing is equal to or less than a prescribed value "A-B" (determination in Step S903 is Yes), a stepping motor 38 is reversely driven by a prescribed value X1, and when larger than the prescribed value "A-B" ( determination in Step S903 is No), the number of steps x of reverse driving is set to a value smaller than the prescribed value X1, i.e., "X1-X2", for example, 0 (not reversely driven).
