PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of data to be used for image search, in an image search technology using local image feature quantity.SOLUTION: An image search system 100 includes a query image processing apparatus 10 and a search server device 20. The query image processing apparatus 10 includes: a local image feature quantity extraction unit 32 which extracts local image feature quantity of a plurality of feature points in the query image; a feature point position coarse quantification unit 34 coarsely quantifying position information of the feature point; and a communication unit 13 which transmits feature point data including the local image feature quantity and the coarsely quantified position information. The search server device 20 includes: a communication unit 24 for receiving the feature point data; and an image search unit which searches for a corresponding image corresponding to the query image from reference images, by use of the local image feature quantity and the position information included in the received feature point data. |
