PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated tool excellent in durability which is coated by a sputtering method for making smoothness of a surface be excellent, in a tool such as a die or a cutting tool.SOLUTION: A coated tool is obtained by coating a base material surface of the tool with a hard film by a sputtering method. The hard film is a nitride or carbonitride of TiAl containing 40 to 60 atom% of Al by atomic ratio of only metal elements, a hardness (H) by a nano-indentation method is 38 to 50 GPa, an elastic recovery rate (E) is 34-42%, and a ratio (H/E) of the hardness to the elastic recovery rate is 1.1≤H/E<1.3. The obtained coated tool is excellent in durability. |
