A method, in a wireless telecommunication network, for reservation of a portion of a subscriber data allocation, the method comprising transmitting a request for reservation message from user equipment using a command-and-control protocol, providing an acknowledgement to the request for reservation message, the acknowledgement including data representing a query for parameters associated with the request, providing an indication of the parameters of the request in response to the query, and in the event that the indicated parameters for the request are valid, reserving the requested portion of the subscriber data allocation according to the indicated parameters. |
