The device (1) has a connection terminal block connecting a 230 volt alternating current network and acting as an orientation lighting unit. A light source i.e. LED, is illuminated by a light outlet opening (2) of a housing of the device. The light source radiates light to a mask and a projection lens via the light outlet opening over a convex lens. Shape of light symbols to be projected i.e. directional arrows, is predetermined by the mask, and the housing is provided with an insertion slot and a parallel-arranged insertion slot for inserting the mask.
