Laundry treatment appliance (1), such as a drying and/or washing machine which is arranged to perform at least one laundry treatment program, to determine a duration of a power interruption (S2), wherein the duration is divided into a short duration equal to or shorter than a predetermined threshold value and a long duration greater than the predetermined threshold value, and to adapt, after the power interruption, a laundry treatment program, which has run during the power interruption, to the duration of the power interruption (S6), and to continue it (S7). A method is used for operation of the laundry treatment appliance (1), wherein according to the method a duration of the power interruption is determined (S2), and after the power interruption a laundry treatment program, which has run during the power interruption, is adapted to the duration of the power interruption (S6), wherein the laundry treatment program is differently adapted depending on a short and log duration of the power interruption and/or a kind of a laundry treatment phase running during the power interruption and the adapted laundry treatment program is continued (S7). |
