A security marking composition suitable for marking an area of land and capable of transfer onto a person or vehicle. The owner of the composition can be identified with respect to the object that it has been transferred onto, with the use of identifying properties that can be compared with information held on a database. The security marking composition comprises a carrier selected from a polymer and an emulsion, and a security marker. The polymer is formed from a polyacrylamide or a synthetic spider silk protein and is the form of sphere or threads. The emulsion is selected from an emulsion comprising water and hydrophobic liquid, such as oil. Both the polymer and emulsion have qualities to stick to objects they come in contact with. The security marker comprises of nucleic acid, preferably DNA, and is chemically constructed to be unique, by using identifier sequences 8, 16, with varying base lengths, primer 30 quantities and sequences 4, 6, 12, 14, 18, 20, 22, and 24, and Sanger amplification and sequencing, in order to establish a unique traceable composition that can be stored in pressurised container ready for use. |
