The invention relates to a method of characterization of an influence of voltage fluctuations in power provided by an electrical network to at least one electrical device powered by said electrical network, on the electrical device. The method comprises at least the steps of:
- applying a short-time Fourier transform (SB) to an input signal (P [V]) representing voltage provided to the electrical device by the electrical network, so as to determine at least both a frequency (Fi) and a magnitude (Ai) of said fluctuations,
- calculating a cumulative effect (EFF) of said frequency and magnitude, and
- comparing (SE) said effect to a threshold (THR) so as to evaluate a risk of damaging said electrical device. |
