摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disengagement between a latch and a striker caused by drawing of a door handle at collision.SOLUTION: A latch structure of a vehicle door includes: a bell crank 5 which rotates about a horizontal first shaft part 15 as a midpoint in conjunction with the movement of an outer handle 2 of a vehicle door; a latch which is engaged with a striker on the vehicle body side to maintain a closed state of the door; a latch opening lever 4 which vertically rotates about a horizontal second shaft part 12 as a midpoint and drives the latch by downward rotation to release the engagement with the striker; and a connecting rod 6 which connects the latch opening lever 4 and the bell crank 5 to each other. The latch opening lever 4 is formed with a slot 22 which is long in the right and left direction of a vehicle. The second shaft part 12 is arranged closer to the inside of the vehicle than the slot 22. The lower end part 6a of the connecting rod 6 is engaged with the slot 22 so as to be slidable in the longitudinal direction of the slot 22. The latch opening lever 4 can be pressed downward by a pressing operation part 6e on the lower end part 6a side. The lower end part 6a is energized in the slot 22 toward the inside of the vehicle by a spring member 23.
