PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease consumption of mediums.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a first nozzle row where a plurality of nozzles that discharge first liquid are arranged in a predetermined direction; a second nozzle row where the plurality of nozzles that discharge second liquid are arranged in a predetermined direction, wherein the second nozzle row is away from the first nozzle row with a predetermined distance in an intersecting direction that intersects with the predetermined direction; the plurality of driving elements that discharge the ink using vibration by the driving signal from corresponding nozzles; and a control part that does a dot formation operation to make the nozzles of each nozzle row discharge the liquid by selectively applying the driving signals to a plurality of driving elements, while relatively moving the first nozzle row, the second nozzle row and the mediums in the intersection direction, and forms a plurality of images in the intersecting direction of the mediums. The control part generates shift data by shifting the data of a predetermined distance backward to forward in the image data of image and repetitively executes the dot formation operation using the shift data. |
