PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunable capacitor obtained by using a material having a large change in dielectric constant for an electric field.SOLUTION: In a tunable capacitor utilizing a large dielectric tunability in the electric field induced phase transition of a ferroelectric substance and in the vicinity of a critical point thereof, the dielectric tunability T satisfies T≥80% when an electric field is 0-10 kV/cm. (The dielectric tunability T is represented as T=(&egr;(0)-&egr;(E))/&egr;(0)×100(%). &egr;(0) and &egr;(E) represent dielectric constants at a zero electric field and an electric field (E), respectively.) |
