A filter element (104), assembly (100) and method of filtering is disclosed. The filter element (104) may comprise an outer filter (112) having a top (114) and a bottom (116), and an inner filter (118). The outer filter (112) may define an interior space (120) and a longitudinal axis (O). The interior space (120) may extend from the top (114) to the bottom (116) of the outer filter (112) along the longitudinal axis (O). The inner filter (118) may be disposed inside the interior space (120). The inner filter (118) may be offset along the longitudinal axis (O) from the bottom (116) of the outer filter (112). The offset may define a cavity (122) disposed below the inner filter (118) and adjacent to the bottom (116) of the outer filter (112). The outer filter (112) may be configured to guide fluid in a first direction and the inner filter (118) may be configured to guide fluid in a second direction generally parallel to the longitudinal axis (O), the second direction different from the first direction. |
