PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pressure control device capable of suppressing a reduction of a fuel pressure resulting from a change in the flow characteristics of a fuel pump.SOLUTION: The fuel pressure control device includes the electrically-driven fuel pump, a second return pipe for recirculating part of fuel flowing in a fuel pipe into the fuel tank, a solenoid reduction valve provided in the second return pipe, and an ECU for controlling the reduction valve into an opened state so that the fuel equivalent to a finite difference between a minimum fuel discharge amount Vmin from the fuel pump when driven at a lower limit voltage Vmin and a required fuel consumption amount Fct is recirculated into the fuel tank. The ECU corrects a minimum fuel discharge amount Fmin0 from the fuel pump on the basis of a fuel pressure difference &Dgr;PF between an actual fuel pressure PFr and a target fuel pressure PFt, and controls the reduction valve to be opened/closed on the basis of a minimum fuel discharge amount Fmin1 after correction. |
