Provided is a compressor wherein an oil discharge passage for discharging oil within a crank chamber is formed within a drive shaft, the compressor being configured so that pressure within the crank chamber is prevented from increasing excessively. A compressor is provided with: a casing (20) having an oil storage space (25) formed therein; a vertically extending drive shaft (60); a compression mechanism (30) having an upper housing (33) forming a crank chamber (35); an in-shaft oil supply passage (63) and an in-shaft oil discharge passage (64); an oil supply pump section; and an oil discharge pump section. The in-shaft oil supply passage transports oil within the oil storage space, the oil being supplied by the oil supply pump section, up to the crank chamber. The in-shaft oil discharge passage includes: a main oil discharge passage (64c) extending axially within the drive shaft; and a first inflow passage (67) for connecting the main oil discharge passage and the crank chamber. The oil discharge pump section discharges oil within the crank chamber through the in-shaft oil discharge passage. An oil recovery space (334) is formed in the lower part of an upper housing, the lower part being located below the crank chamber. The in-shaft oil discharge passage further includes a second inflow passage (64b) for connecting the main oil discharge passage and the oil recovery space. |
