PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a failure caused by change of viscosity of a lubricant due to an environmental change, when the lubricant is applied to a photoreceptor drum.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes a photoreceptor drum 1413, a first lubricant 191 whose viscosity is a predetermined viscosity or more, a second lubricant 192 whose viscosity is less than the predetermined viscosity, a lubricant applying part 182 applying one of the two lubricants 191 and 192 to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1413, and a temperature detection part 180 detecting a temperature. When the temperature is a first temperature or more, the control part 200 controls the lubricant applying part 182, to apply the second lubricant 192 to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1413. When the temperature is less than a second temperature lower than the first temperature, the control part 200 controls the lubricant applying part 182, to apply the first lubricant 191 to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1413. |
