[Class 12 (i)] The rollers 1 are formed tapering from the ends to the middle and are turned to a smaller diameter at their ends to receive split collars 8. The inner and outer races are similarly tapered. The collars 8 of adjacent collars are in rolling contact, the usual cage being dispensed with. The inner race is preferably formed in twoparts 3, 4 adjustable by means of left-and-right handed screws 7 to take up wear. The outer race 1 is split to permit insertion of the rollers. |
