PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle power generation system capable of suppressing damage of a first device, and preventing a reduction in power generation performance or a power generation failure.SOLUTION: A vehicle power generation system 1 comprises: an internal combustion engine 2; a first device 3 in which electric polarization is formed due to supply of exhaust gas which is discharged from the internal combustion engine 2 and whose temperature varies over time; a second device 4 for extracting electric power from the first device 3; a voltage application device 6 for applying voltage to the first device; a detection unit 7 for detecting a presence of flame in the vicinity of the first device; and a control unit 8 for activating the voltage application device 6 when the flame is detected in the vicinity of the first device 3 on the basis of the detection by the detection unit 7. |
