A roll of self-adhesive tape for packaging and similar uses of the type formed by an inner core on which is wound a tape in plastic material rendered adhesive by means of association of an adhesive, characterized in that said tape (3) is composed of a non-textile film (3) in polyethylene terephthalate or PET having a thickness between 8 and 15 microns (micrometers) and an adhesive layer in hot-melt glue having a basis weight of between 8 and 22 grams per square meter.
