Provided is a disposable diaper in which comfortability can be maintained after excretion while absorption performance is still retained after the excretion. Regarding the disposable diaper, a crotch elastic section (130) capable of extending and contracting in the longitudinal direction of the product is arranged on the inner side in the product widthwise direction relative to a leg-surrounding elastic section (75). An absorbent core (40a) has: a narrow portion (41) where the length of the absorbent core in the product widthwise direction is shortest; and wide portions (42) which also lie on the outer side in the product widthwise direction relative to the narrow portion. The crotch elastic section and the narrow portion are placed on the inner side in the product longitudinal direction relative to a waist supporting section. At least part of the crotch elastic section lies between the outer edge of the narrow portion and the outer edge of the wide portion in the product widthwise direction.
