PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that is less affected by foreign substances and can read a white reference member.SOLUTION: An image reading device comprises: a back side glass 38 that constitutes a conveyance path of a sheet; a reading unit 35 that is provided movably with the back side glass 38 as one body and reads an image of a sheet conveyed on the conveyance path through the back side glass 38; a white reference member 37 that is provided at a position opposite to the reading unit 35 across the conveyance path; and a movement mechanism that has the reading unit 35 and the back side glass 38 provided movably as one body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
