PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device hardly causing biting of a clutch when an ignition key is located at an ACC (accessory) position.SOLUTION: When an ignition key is operated to an ACC position (step S1), an ECU releases lock of a steering wheel (step S2). The ECU determines whether or not the ignition key is located at the ACC position (step S3). If the ignition key is located at the ACC position, the ECU determines whether an absolute value |T| of steering torque T detected by a torque sensor is a prescribed value A (A>0) or more (step S4). When the absolute value |T| of the steering torque T is determined to be the prescribed value A or more, the ECU outputs a clutch release command for releasing a clutch to a drive circuit of the clutch so as to avoid causing the biting of the clutch (step S5).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
