PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sliding shaft capable of lowering sufficiently an elastic modulus of a resin coating material during broach processing, improving dimensional accuracy of a spline formed on a resin layer, and preventing peeling-off of the resin layer.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of an intermediate shaft, the outer peripheral surface of an inner shaft 21 is coated with a resin material to form a resin layer 27, and then, when the resin material is in the state of a glass transition point Tor higher, a spline is formed on the resin layer 27 by broach processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
