A wireless terminal according to one embodiment is equipped with a control unit for monitoring a PDCCH during an on period that occurs during each DRX cycle, and a receiving unit for receiving unique downlink control information that does not contain scheduling information from a base station through the PDCCH during the on period. The control unit continues PDCCH monitoring throughout the DRX rest period, according to receipt of the unique downlink control information. |
