Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method and device for associating a user with a group. The method comprises: receiving, by a first communication device, a first association request transmitted from a second communication device, wherein the first association request comprises an identifier of an MCPTT user and identifiers of N MCPTT groups, and is used to request for association between the MCPTT user and the N MCPTT groups, and N is a positive integer; according to association subscription information of the MCPTT user, associating the MCPTT user with M MCPTT groups in the N MCPTT groups, wherein the association subscription information of the MCPTT user is used to indicate an MCPTT group associable for the MCPTT user; and transmitting a first association response to the second communication device, wherein the first associated response is used to indicate successful association of the MCPTT user with the M MCPTT groups in the N MCPTT groups, 1 ≤ M ≤ N, and M is an integer. Therefore, association of the MCPTT user with the M MCPTT groups of interests for the user is achieved. |
