摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving control apparatus which properly measures distance by correction even when a position setting error or secular change occurs in a distance measurement apparatus, and a driving control method.SOLUTION: A driving control apparatus acquires a road distance to a target feature on a set route, which is located forward of a vehicle, acquires a ranging distance between the vehicle and the target feature, matches the vehicle in a position on the set route obtained by subtracting the ranging distance from the road distance, detects an amount of lateral displacement between an actual vehicle position on a travel route and a temporary vehicle position on the set route, on the basis of the actual vehicle position on the travel route to be obtained when the vehicle actually travels around a curve along a lane by white line recognition and the temporary vehicle position on the set route to be obtained when the vehicle is assumed to travel around the curve along the matched set route, during traveling around the curve, and corrects the ranging distance on the basis of the amount of displacement.
