PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating a subject afflicted with active lupus arthritis.SOLUTION: This invention provides the use of a certain amount of laquinimod or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in producing a pharmaceutical for treating a subject afflicted with active lupus arthritis. The pharmaceutical is formulated for oral administration, and further formulated for daily administration.
