PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive air conditioner which can perform weak heating suitable for an area which needs heating only for a short period of time.SOLUTION: In an air conditioner 1, a control unit 50, when an outside air temperature To is below a predetermined outside air temperature Tos, as frost soon forms on an outdoor heat exchanger 17, does not start a heating operation. Also, the control unit 50, even when it starts the heating operation when the outside air temperature To is equal to or greater than Tos, it performs drooping control of a compressor 13 when an evaporation temperature Te becomes below a threshold value Ts1, and suppressed frost formation on the outdoor heat exchanger 17. Furthermore, when the evaporation temperature Te becomes below a threshold value Ts2 or the outside air temperature To becomes below the predetermined outside air temperature Tos during the drooping control, the control unit 50 stops the compressor 13 and prevents frost formation on the outdoor heat exchanger 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
