[Class 120 (ii)] [Also in Group V] The cover of a roller of a spinning frame, which may be fixed directly on to the metallic core, is made from a synthetic rubber comprising methyl rubber. The methyl rubber is mixed with a filler e.g. claysulphur, a plasticizer, and an accelerator and formed into a plastic mass which is extruded to form a tubular member ; a sleeve of the desired length is cut from the tubular member, secured on the roller, vulcanized and then buffed. A suitable rubber composition is given.</p> |
