A process for the bioremediation of soil contaminated with a hydrocarbon comprising: removing the soil contaminated with hydrocarbons; placing the contaminated soil in a bioremediation facility wherein there are a series of three bays each with independent heated walls and floors; treating the contaminated soil with a microbial cleaner made up of a biocatalyst solution and a microbe blend activated by the biocatalyst. The microbe blend comprises of hydrocarbon ingesting microbes Pseudomonas and Bacillus and the biocatalyst solution comprises nutrients to activate and nourish the microbes; the nutrients comprise: urea and sodium hexamethaphosphate. Stone is removed from the contaminated soil via screening and unsuitable waste is removed before digestion. The contaminated soil is heated during the digestion of the hydrocarbon to a temperature between 18°C to 50°C and lasts for a period of 20 days to 30 days. A further independent claim is for the use of a microbial cleaner for the remediation of soil contaminated with a hydrocarbon wherein the contaminated soil is removed to a bioremediation facility prior to treatment with the microbial cleaner to digest the hydrocarbon. A further independent claim is for a bioremediation facility. |
